New Audio Effects Revised
How we did the latest samples
Samples were recorded that were suited for particular pedal types, using a Les Paul & Stratocaster, over two full days. Conditions were consistant: No change of guitars, strings, studios etc. We tried playing some riffs on the Strat & then repeated them on a Les Paul. Some of these "pairs" worked out, and are used in our samples, to deepen the comparison.
For Testing: The direct guitar signal, went into an SEKD, 96KHZ, 24 Bit hard disk recorder. When testing an effect; the recorded direct signal, was fed through the output of the effect, into a Line6 POD set for clean. (*NOTE: absolutely minimal reverb was added, to avoid a needlessly antseptic, quality).
The mono output of the POD was then recorded onto the same SEKD 96 KHz, 24 Bit hard disk recorder. Cables used: Monster. Power Supply: Fulltone "Black Box". AC Only, units: Straight into a power conditioner.
Understand; this was done for a consistant, fair comparison. Your sound with a guitar Amp, and speakers, will be different. Probably better sounding!
We sort our effects by either New Effects or Vintage Effects. Below is a list of our New Effects.
